June 20, 2024 – Telstra has announced the winners of South Australia’s 22nd annual Telstra Best in Business Awards, recognizing entrepreneurship and business excellence. The South Australian winners were selected from more than 10,000 nominations across the country and represent the pinnacle of innovation and commitment in their respective categories.
“Accelerating Women” Awards
The “Accelerating Women” award was proudly presented to mumamo, a female-led infant formula company that prides itself on being 100% Australian in ownership, production and manufacturing. mumamoo has grown from a strong base in South Australia to more than 800 stores nationwide.
“Building Communities Award
In the ‘Building Communities’ category, Chat Well Allied Health won the award. This pediatric allied health clinic has been instrumental in delivering high quality services that empower children and their families, particularly with an approach that affirms neurodiversity to support a wide range of diagnoses.
Health Advocate” Award
Health Advocate” sees Communication eXtra honored. As a registered NDIS provider, they have been steadfast in their support of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, ensuring that each person’s unique challenges and strengths are recognized and valued.
“Embracing Innovation” Award
Transmutation, a process-scale recycling and manufacturing company, was recognized for “Embracing Innovation.” They show their customers that waste can be transformed into valuable products, selling a range of items from clothing to home furnishings, while promoting the circular economy.
“Aboriginal Excellence Award
The “Aboriginal Excellence Award” was presented to Bungala Catering Services, a meal delivery service that not only provides delicious meals, but also creates important employment opportunities for local Aboriginal women in Port Augusta by providing them with internships and a supportive work environment.
“Outstanding Growth” Award
QMS NDT & NACE, a family-owned company that provides professional services to the defense, mining and manufacturing industries, received the “Outstanding Growth” award. Their skilled technicians have been instrumental in identifying risks and improving equipment reliability.
“Promotion of Sustainable Development” Award
Finally, the “Promoting Sustainability” award was presented to 2XE, a consulting firm that has been guiding companies towards net-zero emissions with a focus on overall return on investment and sustainable practices.
