In the past 30 years, the exchange and cooperation between China and the United States in the field of education has never been interrupted.Cooperation models such as mutual study abroad, joint school running, experts and scholars’ visits, and academic conferences are to promote friendship and deepen understanding of the people of China and the United States.Under the climate of “internationalization of traditional education and localization of international education”, it presents a good characteristic of a variety of integration, integration, and uniqueness.However, in recent years, with the continuous friction between China and the United States, the process of humanistic exchanges between the two countries that have gradually entered a good realm has been highly safe and political, and the asymmetry and externality of Sino -US education cooperation have continued to magnify.
The US Ambassador to China Nicholas Bernus once said that about 15,000 American students studying in China in six or seven years ago, but in 2022, the sharp decreased to 350. In fact, the endogenous motivation of the two countries seeking educational cooperation has always existed.As far as China is concerned, in order to expand the exchanges between China and the United States, especially the adolescents, China has actively expressed their willingness to invite 50,000 American teenagers to come to China to communicate and learn.This not only incorporates intergenerational dimensions into the process of stability and improvement of Sino -US relations, and continuously empowerment of bilateral education exchanges in downturn, but also allows the world to see the minds and determinations of the new chapter of Sino -US relations in China.As far as the United States is concerned, the administrative orders such as “Prohibition of some Chinese students and researchers from entering the country” issued by the Federal Government in all walks of life in the United States are also sincere.Some voices have criticized the US government as a “cocoon self -binding”. Third, highlight the role of Sino -American role in global education governance.The current international situation uncertainty continues to rise, and China and the United States actively participate in global education governance on the basis of bilateral education cooperation.
