Geoff Ogilvy, David Micheluzzi, and Jed Morgan have been named as part of an expanded roster for the 2023 Cathedral Invitational. With just 50 days remaining until the highly anticipated event, the Cathedral Invitational has revealed several new additions to its unique and rapidly growing tournament. Among these, former U.S Open champion Ogilvy, current PGA Tour Australasia Order Of Merit Winner Micheluzzi, and LIV Golf standout Morgan are poised to make their mark.
Set against the backdrop of the prestigious Cathedral Lodge and Golf Club in Thornton, Victoria, the Cathedral Invitational, taking place on December 5-6, will feature a 50-player field that already includes golf stars such as Cam Smith, Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, and Gabi Ruffels.
Dimi Papadatos, Brendan Jones, Brett Rumford, and Nick O’Hern will also be on the tee, while Victorian trio Todd Sinnott, Brett Coletta, and Zach Murray will add to the excitement for local fans, who will have a unique opportunity to walk the fairways alongside these elite athletes.
Adding to the tournament’s inclusive nature is rising star Cassie Porter, the 21-year-old from Peregian Beach, who is looking to build on her victory at the 2023 WPGA Melbourne International.
The Cathedral Invitational will also see world number one disability golfer Kipp Popert compete among the star-studded field, with one male and one female amateur player yet to be announced.
The competition will adopt a 36-hole format played over two days, with a first prize of $100,000 at stake.
